About The Position
Mortenson Family Dental is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to provide clinically excellent dental care and support dentists and hygienists in a respectful, supportive practice environment. The position is part-time, with 21 weekly hours, at 2407 Ring Rd Ste 137, Elizabethtown, KY 42701. Compensation is up to $25 per hour based on experience, and the posting offers a $1,200 sign-on bonus. Requirements
- EDDA or EFDA certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain radiology and CPR certification within the required timeframe.
- Pass a background check and drug screening; any employment offer is contingent on successfully completing these checks.
Responsibilities
- Deliver clinically excellent dental care through patient education and quality treatment.
- Assist dentists and hygienists with diagnosis through X-rays, verbal communication, and other directed dental tests.
- Support efficient operations by seeking patient referrals, maintaining equipment, using supplies cost-effectively, and accurately posting patient charges.
- Follow CDC and OSHA safety and infection-control guidelines.
- Complete clinical notes according to practice guidelines before dismissing patients.
- Prepare treatment rooms according to prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Sterilize and deliver instruments, position them for dentist access, suction, and pass instruments.
- Place and finish permanent restorations and complete preliminary impressions.
