About The Position

Kids Dentistree is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to provide clinically excellent dental care and support dentists and hygienists in a respectful, supportive practice environment. The role assists with diagnosis through X-rays, communication, and other directed dental tests; prepares treatment rooms; sterilizes and delivers instruments; and supports dentists during procedures. The EDDA places and finishes permanent restorations and completes preliminary impressions. The position is part-time, with 16 weekly hours, at the Georgetown, Kentucky location. Compensation is up to $25 per hour based on experience, with a $1,200 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• EDDA or EFDA certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Obtain radiology and CPR certifications within the required timeframe.
• Pass a background check and drug screening; employment offers are contingent on successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinically excellent dental care through patient education and quality treatment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists with diagnosis through X-rays, verbal communication, and other dental tests as directed.
• Support efficient practice operations by seeking patient referrals, maintaining equipment, using supplies cost-effectively, and accurately posting patient charges.
• Follow CDC and OSHA safety and infection-control guidelines.
• Complete clinical notes according to practice guidelines before dismissing patients.
• Prepare treatment rooms according to prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Sterilize and deliver instruments to the treatment area, position instruments for dentist access, suction, and pass instruments.
• Place and finish permanent restorations and complete preliminary impressions.
