About The Position

The Experienced Medication Technician provides warm, engaging personal care, assistance, support, and companionship to residents in a memory care setting. The role includes helping residents with activities of daily living, noticing changes in their daily routines or personal care needs, and working with the nurse to update each resident’s Care Plan. The Medication Technician also encourages residents to participate in community programs and activities.

Requirements

• Have a positive attitude and enjoy working with people.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a Medication Aide in New Jersey or as a Technician in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Rhode Island, or New York.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm and engaging personal care services, assistance, support, and companionship.
• Engage and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Observe changes in residents’ daily routines and personal care needs, and work with the nurse to update their Resident Care Plans.
• Encourage residents to participate in community programs and activities.
