Shepherd Center is seeking a part-time Exercise Physiologist to join their Wellness team. This role involves assessing the physical fitness of patients and wellness members, determining their current strength and endurance, and developing individualized exercise programs to meet specific goals. These goals can be set by internal care teams, the exercise physiologist, and the patients/members themselves. The position is 25 hours per week and requires a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or a similar field. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of the start date. The ideal candidate will have experience creating and managing exercise programs and preferably two years of previous hospital or rehabilitation experience. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with basic computer proficiency. The candidate should also possess compassion, flexibility, self-initiation, the ability to organize and complete tasks, problem-solving skills, and effective communication, especially in stressful situations.
