About The Position
The Cardiology Lab Exercise Physiologist provides administrative and technical support for procedures performed by the cardiology lab. These procedures include EKGs, Holter and event monitoring, treadmill and nuclear stress testing, transtelephonic pacemaker checks, tilt table testing, stress and contrast echocardiograms, transthoracic echocardiograms, satellite test transmissions, and result coordination. The role offers performance feedback, clear direction for success, and development opportunities for other roles. Extended shifts may be required when deemed necessary by the Cardiology Lab Supervisor.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience in an exercise testing laboratory, cardiac rehabilitation facility, or corporate health setting; a new graduate may be considered if the hiring department can provide 6 months of direct supervision.
- BLS and ALS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Basic computer, CRT, and typing experience.
- Familiarity with testing equipment such as Marquette EKG machines, treadmill control systems, and Holter monitor systems, or similar equipment.
- May be required to work extended shifts when deemed necessary by the Cardiology Lab Supervisor.
Nice To Haves
- ACSM certification.
- MUSE experience.
- Pace Art experience.
- Cardiopulmonary stress testing experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and technical support for cardiology lab procedures.
- Support EKGs, Holter monitoring, event monitoring, stress treadmill testing, nuclear stress testing, transtelephonic pacemaker checks, tilt table testing, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, and transthoracic echocardiograms.
- Coordinate satellite test transmissions and results.
