About The Position

The Executive Vice President (EVP) of Retail Sales leads the company’s overall retail sales strategy, revenue growth, and market expansion across retail and wholesale channels. This role leverages established, executive-level relationships with retailers and wholesale distributors to secure high-value strategic partnerships. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the EVP is accountable for identifying, pursuing, and closing enterprise-level opportunities, leading major contract negotiations, and expanding the company’s footprint while providing strategic direction to the President. Success is measured by revenue growth, strategic account wins, margin performance, and measurable expansion within the retail channel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of senior-level sales leadership experience in retail relationship development, food service, produce distribution, or perishable commodities manufacturing
  • Proven success leading enterprise-level sales strategy and closing large, complex accounts
  • Strong existing relationships within big box retail and wholesale markets
  • Demonstrated experience expanding revenue within multi-location, regional, or national retail and wholesale accounts
  • Deep understanding of pricing strategy, margin optimization, and contract negotiation
  • Leadership experience overseeing senior-level sales professionals
  • Executive presence with ability to engage effectively at C-suite and board level
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven, growth-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth across all channels, with emphasis on retail and wholesale expansion
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the President, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives
  • Serve as executive sponsor for major accounts, maintaining senior-level relationships with key decision-makers
  • Partner with Operations, Quality Assurance, Finance, and Supply Chain leadership to ensure scalable, operationally aligned growth
  • Oversee pricing strategy, margin management, and contract structure to balance growth with profitability
  • Represent the company at executive meetings, industry conferences, and strategic customer engagements
  • Provide high-level reporting and strategic insights to the President and executive leadership on pipeline performance, market trends, and competitive positioning
  • Regular travel required to maintain direct engagement with retail and wholesale customers and support market expansion
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the President and Board of Directors on revenue growth, market expansion, and competitive positioning
  • Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with prospective retail and wholesale partners
  • Represent the company at industry events and strategic customer engagements to enhance brand visibility and market positioning
