Executive Strategy Associate - Data & AI

Fabletics•El Segundo, CA
•$120,000 - $150,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Fabletics is hiring an Executive Strategy Associate to serve as the operational and strategic right hand to the SVP of Data & AI. The role owns executive communications, cross-functional coordination, budget management, and strategic insight into the direction of analytics and AI. It calls for a high-agency operator who can take ownership, create structure amid ambiguity, and drive work through to completion. About one-third of the role involves hands-on operations, including onboarding and budget management, alongside analyzing data to identify what is working, what is stalled, and where to invest. The associate supports the SVP of Data & AI and reports to the AI Program Director. The role is based at Fabletics’ El Segundo headquarters. The position combines operational ownership, analytics and reporting, AI adoption and tooling, executive communications, and cross-functional project coordination. The associate manages onboarding and budget processes; builds reporting and dashboards; operates and improves AI-driven operational tools; tracks AI adoption; produces Monthly Business Review updates and executive materials; and coordinates projects across Data Analytics, AI, and FOS Technology teams. The role requires enough technical fluency to read API documentation and scope integration requests, but does not require a deep technical or machine-learning background.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in operations, business operations, chief of staff, or a strategy-adjacent role; experience supporting a data, analytics, or technology organization is ideal.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership.
  • High attention to detail, especially in executive materials, budget data, and AI tool outputs.
  • Project management experience across multiple concurrent workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Comfort reading API documentation well enough to scope and submit accurate data integration tickets.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with shifting priorities and a need to create structure.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience with Snowflake.
  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Omni, or demonstrated fluency using AI tools to build dashboards and reporting artifacts.
  • Curiosity and motivation to learn and operate AI-driven tools and agents; deep technical or machine-learning experience is not required.
  • Experience in technical or data consulting, such as at a Big Four firm or boutique data or analytics consultancy.
  • A background that bridges enterprise operations and modern data practices.
  • Experience directly supporting a senior executive in a Chief of Staff, strategy, or executive business partner capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Own administrative onboarding for new offshore hires, including equipment provisioning, account and access setup, and vendor coordination.
  • Plan and coordinate offsites, including agenda design and topic selection with leadership, and coordinate recurring team meetups.
  • Maintain the Data & AI budget tracker, monitor spending against plan, and build tooling and automations to improve the process.
  • Identify and flag budget variances, including their cause, magnitude, and trend, using AI-assisted analysis where useful.
  • Build and maintain recurring dashboards and reports for budget and AI adoption monitoring, and identify additional reporting sources.
  • Research APIs and partner with data engineering to bring new data sources into the organization.
  • Own and operate AI-driven operational tools, such as an agent that notifies teams about token spending, and iterate on them with technical support from AI and engineering teams.
  • Identify opportunities to use AI tooling to improve budget tracking, reporting, onboarding administration, and coordination.
  • Read API documentation and submit well-scoped tickets for new data integrations.
  • Track and analyze workforce adoption of AI tools and workflows, surfacing usage trends and adoption gaps to leadership.
  • Produce Monthly Business Review updates and executive leadership materials end to end, including gathering data, developing the narrative, and creating the final presentation.
  • Explain advanced AI initiatives, how they work, and the problems they solve in a way senior leadership can understand and act on.
  • Use AI tooling to accelerate data gathering and first drafts while retaining ownership of final storytelling and judgment.
  • Manage projects across Data Analytics, AI, and FOS Technology teams by tracking deliverables, unblocking dependencies, and keeping workstreams on schedule.
  • Coordinate cross-functional meetups and initiatives for the SVP’s office, ensuring relevant stakeholders are aligned and informed.
  • Maintain current team structure documentation, including org charts, role definitions, and reporting lines.
  • Take ownership of ambiguous problems without an obvious owner and help drive them to resolution.
