The Executive Steward manages the daily kitchen stewarding operations and associated staff. Areas of responsibilities include dish room operations, night cleaning of food and beverage outlets, Supervises kitchen employees not actively engaged in cooking (e.g., utilities.). The position promotes superior guest service and maintains a positive organizational culture. The role is responsible for implementing and monitoring a detailed cleaning program, assisting stewards during operations, and maintaining operational manuals. Coordination with the Facilities department for equipment maintenance, ordering and managing supplies, and conducting inventories are key functions. The Executive Steward inspects supplies, equipment, and work areas, investigates accidents, and manages all equipment, china, glass, and silver. Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and food handling/sanitation standards is crucial. The role involves managing department expenses, attending meetings, and ensuring quality standards are met. It includes providing guidance to subordinates, recruiting, hiring, and promoting employees, and ensuring proper training on sanitation, equipment, chemical usage, and safety procedures.
