About The Position

The Executive Recruiter will lead with proactive sourcing, direct outreach, market mapping, and passive candidate engagement, while partnering closely with hiring executives to run a rigorous, candidate-focused search process from first contact through close. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at the center of Swickard's leadership growth strategy within a rapidly expanding multi-state organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field -- equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5-7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a significant portion focused on executive or leadership-level search -- required.
  • Deep expertise in proactive sourcing techniques, sourcing platforms, market mapping, and passive candidate engagement -- paired with the business acumen to advise senior leadership on talent strategy and market trends.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives and passive candidates alike.
  • High level of discretion, sound judgment, and a proactive, results-oriented approach to closing top talent in a competitive market.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting within automotive retail, multi-location retail, or another fast-paced, multi-site industry -- preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary owner of proactive candidate sourcing for General Manager, Director-level and above roles, building and continuously refreshing talent pipelines across corporate and dealership leadership positions.
  • Design and execute multi-channel sourcing strategies, including direct outreach and leveraging sourcing platforms, industry associations, referrals, and market mapping, to identify passive as well as active leadership candidates.
  • Maintain a deep, continuously updated network of passive leadership candidates across the automotive retail industry and adjacent sectors, engaging talent well ahead of open requisitions.
  • Partner with senior HR leadership and hiring executives to translate business needs into search strategy, role scorecards, and targeted sourcing plans.
  • Conduct thorough candidate screening, competency-based interviews, and reference checks to assess leadership capability, cultural fit, and long-term potential.
  • Own the candidate experience end-to-end, including interview coordination, feedback consolidation, offer development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Partner with HR and compensation teams to structure competitive, market-informed offers for General Manager, Director-level and above positions.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date sourcing and recruiting data -- pipeline health, source effectiveness, and time-to-fill within the applicant tracking system, using these metrics to continuously refine sourcing strategy.
  • Monitor automotive retail and adjacent industry talent markets, maintaining a strong network and current knowledge of compensation benchmarks for leadership roles.
  • Travel to dealership locations across Swickard's markets as needed to support in-person interviews, market visits, and hiring manager partnership.
