About The Position

The EPO Team Leader leads daily operations, performance, scheduling, and readiness of EPOs responsible for safeguarding the executive floor and responding to life‑safety incidents. The role ensures operational excellence, manages vendor support, and remains deployable as an EPO. The Manager also cross‑trains with Executive Protection Agents (EPAs) to strengthen program depth and support future advancement. Truist in-office requirement is 5 days per week. Candidate must be located in Charlotte, NC. No remote or telecommute option.

Requirements

  • Ten years in executive protection, corporate security, law enforcement, or military protective services.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of life‑safety and emergency response protocols.
  • Excellent communication, situational awareness, and decision‑making skills.
  • Understanding of life-safety response and emergency procedures.
  • Strong administrative computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, CoPilot)
  • Ability to serve in a protective capacity with flexible hours.
  • Must meet internal readiness requirements and LEOSA (18 USC 926C) eligibility.
  • Strong understanding of the PSP role, and ability to liaison with Truist PSPs.

  • Experience managing or coordinating security personnel.
  • Experience protecting executive office environments.
  • Protective operations experience in corporate or regulated environments.
  • Medical response certifications (CPR/AED, First-Aid, EMT-B, TCCC).
  • Defensive tactics, or de‑escalation training.
  • Interest in advancing toward EPA or leadership roles.
  • Industry certifications such as PPS, PPO, CPP, PSP, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily activities, assignments, and coverage of EPOs.
  • Ensure continuous protection and readiness for emergencies or threats.
  • Conduct shift briefings, operational updates, and enforce standards.
  • Oversee access control, floor monitoring, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Maintain 24/7 operational awareness and adjust staffing as needed.
  • Build strong partnerships with Executive Assistants and Executive Leadership.
  • Oversee concierge operations on the executive floor.
  • Fill shifts during shortages, high‑demand periods, or emergencies.
  • Maintain a prepared, visible presence on the executive floor.
  • Respond to medical issues, threat indicators, and life‑safety events.
  • Execute emergency protocols and coordinate with internal responders.
  • Support vendor oversight, procurement, contract evaluation, and budgeting.
  • Review vendor performance and ensure service‑level compliance.
  • Approve invoices for EPO‑related services.
  • Participate in structured cross‑training with EPAs.
  • Support EPAs during high‑demand or high‑risk scenarios.
  • Build familiarity with EPA responsibilities to support program flexibility.
  • Coordinate all EPO training with the Senior EPA and Director of EP.
  • Provide operational insights, risk observations, and improvement recommendations.
  • Assist with updates to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain incident reports and data logs.
