About The Position

Global Guardian is hiring a full-time Executive Protection Agent/Security Driver to provide protection, driving, and security for a C-suite executive and family. The role involves operating a luxury vehicle and safeguarding the principal’s safety, security, and confidentiality during travel to business and personal engagements, airports, and meetings. Duties will be performed primarily between New York City and New Canaan, Connecticut, and surrounding areas. The position is in person and is scheduled Monday through Friday, eight hours per day and 40 hours per week, with additional hours possibly required. The stated pay is $60.00 per hour. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience serving C-suite executives, advanced driving skills, executive protection training, and the required New York and Connecticut permits or security credentials. The agent must maintain discretion and situational awareness, respond effectively to threats or emergencies, and uphold professional standards while handling sensitive and confidential information.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience as an executive protection driver or in a similar role serving high-profile clientele.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Valid New York Armed Concealed Carry Permit.
Valid Connecticut Guard Card/Security License.
Excellent knowledge of New York City and surrounding-area roadways near Midtown and Lower Manhattan.
Experience in emergency response.
Strong judgment, discretion, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and make decisive, well-informed decisions.

Nice To Haves

Prior law enforcement, military, or high-level private security background.
Certification in executive protection or close protection; preferred training providers include ESI, EPI, or similar.
Tactical or emergency driving course certification, such as EVOC or SDC.
CPR/AED and First Aid certificate.
Familiarity with secure communications and advanced work.
Law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

Safely transport C-suite executives to scheduled destinations throughout New York City, Connecticut, and surrounding areas.
Oversee residential security as requested.
Plan routes, monitor traffic, and develop contingency plans to ensure timely arrivals.
Maintain a professional and discreet demeanor.
Conduct vehicle inspections before and after each trip.
Remain near the vehicle and principal while on standby.
Coordinate with security teams and administrative staff as needed.
Maintain situational awareness and respond effectively to threats or emergencies.
Keep the vehicle clean, mechanically sound, and fully fueled.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Manage time appropriately.
Provide an appropriate level of proximity to the CEO for personal protection.
Manage security at client events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
