About The Position

Deeplocal is seeking an Executive Producer to lead the delivery of complex, highly technical experiential projects for prominent brands. This temporary role emphasizes creative excellence, fiscal responsibility, and strong client/team communication. The ideal candidate will be deeply involved in the creative process, driving concepts and execution while empowering a multidisciplinary team. They should be a strategic problem-solver, adept at identifying and mitigating risks early on. This role requires established freelance and vendor relationships, as the Executive Producer will be responsible for sourcing and contracting external specialists when needed. While based in Pittsburgh, remote candidates are welcome, and travel may be required.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience producing tangible, interactive experiences, exhibits, or spaces in a creative industry.
  • Experience producing tech-based live events is preferred.
  • Creative thinker and problem-solver, able to lead client and team meetings with confidence and clarity.
  • Comfortable translating ambiguity into concrete project plans.
  • Event production, budget management, and logistics experience is required.
  • Highly organized with exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks while managing multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working within tight deadlines and able to maintain composure when times get tough or priorities conflict.
  • Must have their own freelance and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, clearly communicating budget estimates, scopes of work, timelines, roles, and responsibilities, and project status.
  • Run client and production meetings, bringing in appropriate leads as needed.
  • Define and manage project deliverables in collaboration with Technical and Creative Leads, vetting them with all stakeholders.
  • Manage the creative and production process through execution.
  • Develop robust project budgets in partnership with the Director of Technical Strategy, vetting them with team leads before client submission.
  • Create production schedules and staff plans, understanding creative concepts and executional strategies to develop smart resourcing plans.
  • Maintain creative, technical, and logistical awareness across mediums, communicating project status, needs, and challenges to clients and internal leads.
  • Oversee project teams by running team meetings, facilitating communication, resolving disputes, and escalating issues.
  • Write and present scopes of work, incremental project proposals, and change orders.
  • Source necessary materials for productions where appropriate.
  • Track team member hours and project hard costs, reporting monthly to Finance and Director of Production.
  • Manage external costs, reconcile project costs against budgets, and work with the finance team to recognize revenue.
  • Source and manage vendors and freelancers, ensuring contracts are in place and proper procedures are followed.
  • Identify and vet outstanding freelancers and vendors on an ongoing basis.
  • Support the team emotionally, build morale, and provide leadership and guidance to junior producers.
