About The Position

This role involves leading the agency's production function, overseeing projects from concept through final delivery. The Executive Producer will develop production strategies that align creative vision with budget, schedule, and operational needs, and assign internal and external producers based on project scope, complexity, and expertise. A key responsibility is to continuously improve production workflows, processes, and best practices to support a growing agency. The role requires partnering with Creative, Strategy, Account Services, and Project Management during concept development to assess production approaches, budgets, and feasibility. This includes developing production schedules, scopes of work, and cost estimates, and managing all phases of production from pre-production through project closeout, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and meet the agency's standards for creative excellence. Proactive risk identification and solution development are crucial. The position also involves building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of production partners, sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendor contracts, and partnering with Account Services to develop production estimates and manage budget revisions. Reviewing bids, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring responsible stewardship of client budgets are essential, as is maintaining accurate production documentation, financial records, licensing information, and final project assets. In terms of team leadership, the Executive Producer will mentor and support producers, foster a collaborative culture, recruit, onboard, and develop production talent, and provide coaching and professional development opportunities. Client partnership involves serving as a trusted production advisor, communicating proactively regarding timelines, budgets, and project updates, and ensuring compliance with contractual and production requirements. Industry leadership includes staying current on emerging production techniques, technologies, and trends, expanding the agency's network of production partners, and identifying innovative production approaches.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of production experience within a creative, advertising, or production agency environment.
  • Experience producing integrated campaigns across broadcast, video, photography, digital, social, experiential, and branded content.
  • Previous experience leading production teams and mentoring creative operations professionals.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience developing estimates, managing budgets, and negotiating vendor contracts.
  • Deep network of production partners, directors, editors, photographers, composers, and post-production resources.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required during active productions.
  • Travel, including overnight travel, will be required for productions and location shoots.

Responsibilities

  • Review bids, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure responsible stewardship of client budgets.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, financial records, licensing information, and final project assets.
  • Mentor and support producers while fostering a collaborative, solutions-oriented production culture.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop production talent as the agency grows.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote collaboration across departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Serve as a trusted production advisor to clients, helping navigate production decisions with confidence and transparency.
  • Communicate proactively with clients and internal teams regarding timelines, budgets, creative solutions, and project updates.
  • Work closely with procurement teams and client stakeholders to ensure compliance with contractual and production requirements.
  • Stay current on emerging production techniques, technologies, creative talent, and industry trends.
  • Continuously expand the agency's network of production partners and creative collaborators.
  • Identify innovative production approaches that improve efficiency while elevating creative quality.
