About The Position

HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting an Executive Operations & Growth Strategy Chief of Staff to join one of our valued client partners in San Mateo, California. This is a high-ownership opportunity for an ambitious early-career professional who thrives in a fast-moving Series A startup environment. Acting as a direct extension of the VP of Product and Post-Sales, this individual will take ownership of critical work spanning recruiting, post-sales operations, executive coordination, KPI reporting, board preparation, internal communications, and outbound growth initiatives. There is no established playbook. The successful candidate will be expected to identify priorities, build structure, solve problems independently, and continuously increase the executive team's operating capacity as the organization scales its enterprise go-to-market strategy.

Requirements

  • 1–4 years of professional experience in a fast-growing startup, business operations, strategy, customer-facing, generalist, or comparable high-ownership environment.
  • Strong interpersonal presence with the ability to confidently communicate with candidates, customers, prospects, executives, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively without established processes or detailed instructions.
  • Strong organizational and project-management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and follow-through.
  • Strong written communication and presentation-development skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to organize, track, and interpret business KPIs.
  • High level of initiative, resourcefulness, accountability, and execution.
  • Comfortable switching between strategic projects and detailed operational responsibilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical, commercial, and customer-facing teams.
  • Must be available to work in person in San Mateo, California.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

  • Demonstrated interest in eventually developing into broader operations, strategy, or executive leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end recruiting coordination, including conducting initial candidate conversations, managing interview pipelines, coordinating stakeholders, and developing repeatable hiring processes.
  • Build and improve post-sales operating processes, including QBR frameworks, customer success documentation, G2 review programs, and upsell tracking.
  • Manage and protect a complex executive calendar while proactively resolving scheduling conflicts and prioritizing high-value commitments.
  • Build and maintain internal dashboards providing visibility into key sales, product, customer, and bug-related KPIs.
  • Track business metrics and surface trends, risks, and priorities requiring leadership attention.
  • Prepare board decks, all-hands presentations, product status reports, executive updates, and other high-stakes communications.
  • Support LinkedIn and other outbound prospecting experiments designed to generate enterprise pipeline.
  • Develop outbound content and evaluate which messaging and channels produce measurable engagement.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, Post-Sales, Sales, Recruiting, and Go-to-Market.
  • Identify operational gaps and independently develop practical solutions.
  • Create repeatable systems and processes as the organization grows.
  • Serve as a trusted execution partner to senior leadership across rapidly changing priorities.

Benefits

  • Compensation: $110,000–$150,000 annually
