About The Position

The North Carolina Symphony is seeking an enthusiastic Executive Office Coordinator to join our team! This position provides administrative support to the President & CEO, the Executive Office and the Symphony Society and Foundation Boards of Trustees. This position operates at the center of the organization, coordinating priorities across departments, supporting governance, and ensuring the efficient execution of executive and board related initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and Two years of related administrative experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, including Co-Pilot, PowerPoint, Teams and Zoom.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with the performing arts and/or nonprofit sector.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior leadership and/or boards.
  • Demonstrated experience in event coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize the President & CEO’s calendar, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Manage the Executive Office, draft, edit, and prepare correspondence, reports, presentation and strategic documents.
  • Serve as liaison to and between Vice Presidents and staff, facilitating communication and follow through.
  • Lead coordination and execution of all Society and Foundation Board and committee activities (16+ committees; 60+ trustees).
  • Plan and manage Board meetings, including logistics, materials, presentations, and minutes.
  • Partner with senior leadership to ensure alignment between Board activity and organizational priorities.
  • Support cross-institutional initiatives such as donor engagement, concert operations and VIP experiences, and Legislative/Public Affairs coordination
