About The Position

This role involves managing corporate meetings with a focus on strategic event leadership and client relationship management. The Executive Meeting Manager will serve as the primary liaison for clients, ensuring seamless communication and execution of events. Key responsibilities include developing detailed event plans, overseeing on-site execution, and maximizing revenue through upselling. The position requires strong collaboration with various hotel departments to ensure flawless event delivery and an elevated guest experience that reflects the brand's reputation for warm hospitality.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of progressive experience in event management or catering, preferably in a full-service property.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of hotel/event systems (e.g., Delphi, OnQ, or similar) or willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to navigate large event spaces, including ballrooms and meeting rooms.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate meetings with 15 or fewer guestrooms.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
  • Develop and execute detailed event plans, timelines, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Oversee on-site execution to ensure all event components meet or exceed expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to drive repeat and referral business.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering creative solutions and enhancements.
  • Handle VIP clients and sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of any concerns.
  • Maximize total revenue through strategic upselling of food & beverage, audiovisual, and event enhancements.
  • Review contracts, billing, and final invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support forecasting, pace reporting, and revenue strategy initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales, Banquets, Culinary, Front Office, and Engineering teams to ensure flawless execution.
  • Lead internal event meetings (BEO, resume, operations) and communicate all details clearly.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety regulations, and hotel policies.
  • Deliver elevated, personalized service reflective of DoubleTree’s reputation for warm hospitality.
  • Ensure all events create memorable, high-quality guest experiences.
  • Proactively anticipate needs and resolve issues with urgency and professionalism.
