About The Position

The Hampton Inn by Hilton/ Buffalo-Williamsville is seeking an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping department. This position is responsible for the operation and management of the housekeeping and laundry departments to ensure maximum service quality. The role is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel, including rooms and public areas. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will foster a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management and supervise employees in the housekeeping department. This includes interviewing, hiring, training employees, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Three years of experience in housekeeping function in a hotel or similar industry.
Two years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
Computer knowledge including intranet and Property management system.
Valid driver's license.
Acceptable driving history subject to company approval.

Responsibilities

Operate and manage the housekeeping and laundry departments to ensure maximum service quality.
Ensure the overall cleanliness of the hotel, including rooms and public areas.
Foster a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management.
Supervise employees in the housekeeping department.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Interview, hire, train employees, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees.
Plan, assign, and direct work.
Address complaints and resolve problems.
