About The Position

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness and friendly service of the entire Hotel, including all guest rooms, public areas, facilities, storage rooms, and guest and house laundry. This role involves overseeing the housekeeping team, managing schedules, maintaining supplies, and ensuring adherence to cleanliness and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time, unless otherwise directed.
  • Must clock in/out for breaks at the designated time.
  • Must provide sufficient notice when calling out for a scheduled shift.
  • Regularly required to stand or remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (3-4 hours at a time).
  • Regularly required to type on and operate computers and other office machinery or devices, do 10-key operation and data entry, dial a telephone, manually manipulate objects, handles, tools, and/or controls.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, lift and transport supplies of up to 25 pounds throughout the hotel, and move throughout the hotel and the rooms.
  • Must be able to inspect and visually observe details at close range and from long range.
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures.
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must have a desire to serve all guests.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Housekeeping Team, including daily stand-ups, assigning checklists, training, and holding team members accountable for cleaning criteria.
  • Manage room assignments for housekeepers, confirm rooms are cleaned, inspected, and updated in the PMS.
  • Balance and clear room status nightly, resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of all storage rooms, mechanical rooms, housekeeping closets, and the main housekeeping laundry room.
  • Monitor work orders and submit them to the Engineering department.
  • Maintain required stock of housekeeping and laundry supplies by ordering needed items monthly/quarterly.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly housekeeping inventories.
  • Maintain and monitor "Lost and Found" procedures and policies.
  • Assign supervisor duties and verify completion and quality.
  • Monitor proper use of and compliance with hazardous chemicals according to OSHA standards.
  • Complete daily departmental objectives, including opening the department, distributing boards and keys, inspecting guest rooms, and closing the department.
