About The Position

Set along the breathtaking coastline of Kauai, Hale Hokuala Kauai, Curio Collection by Hilton, is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper to join the team during the pre-opening phase of this highly anticipated 210-room oceanfront golf resort. This is a rare opportunity to help bring a distinctive destination to life—shaping cleanliness standards, team culture, and the overall guest experience from day one. Reporting to the General Manager, this role will lead all aspects of Housekeeping operational readiness from pre-opening planning through grand opening and into stabilized operations. The Executive Housekeeper will partner closely with ownership, construction and design teams, and Hilton brand partners to ensure opening milestones are achieved, while building and inspiring a high-performing Housekeeping team, establishing departmental procedures, and driving seamless execution across guest rooms and public spaces. This hands-on leader will play a critical role in developing cleaning and inspection protocols, supporting hiring and training strategies, aligning with brand standards, and ensuring an exceptional arrival experience for every guest. The ideal candidate brings strong full-service or resort Housekeeping leadership experience, thrives in fast-paced pre-opening environments, and is energized by building a best-in-class operation from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure and maintain cleanliness, service and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms in accordance with federal, local and company health, sanitation and safety standards
  • Lead, direct and administer all Housekeeping operations to include, but not limited to, of systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, inventory control, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation
  • Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
  • Recruit, interview and train team members
  • Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for team members and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Participate in the coordination of rehabilitation and capital improvement projects in partnership with Property Operations and other departments.
