About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Executive Host is to acquire, develop, reactivate, and maintain strong relationships with VIP players, leading to increased revenues for the casino. This role involves identifying and building relationships with VIP guests through telemarketing, correspondence, promotional opportunities, and special events. The Executive Host evaluates casino guest activity to determine applicable complimentary services such as hotel rooms, food, beverages, and special event tickets. They actively pursue new Lucky Star Rewards Club prospects and promote the benefits of the program. This is a highly visible position requiring professional behavior and appearance both on and off casino property. The position ensures the confidentiality, security, and accuracy of guest and team member records, and promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with outstanding guest service, are essential. Regular attendance is required, and occasional later hours or weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines. A neat, well-groomed, professional appearance is essential at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, computer science, or a related field, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Three (3) years of Casino gaming experience.
  • At least two (2) years of work experience as a Player Development or Casino Host.
  • Ability to successfully influence guest behavior.
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively.
  • Well-organized.
  • Personable with great problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prepare spreadsheets and maintain a database.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Proficient with business English, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
  • Ability to write business correspondence and prepare reports.
  • Fluent in English and speaks clearly.
  • Working knowledge of casino operations.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with guests.
  • Manages VIP player accounts with an emphasis on the most valuable players.
  • Actively contacts VIP players weekly via telemarketing and personal contact to build loyalty and strong personal relationships.
  • Actively contacts inactive players weekly via telemarketing to personally invite them back to the casino.
  • Evaluates VIP guests' activities and ensures the level of complimentary service offered is based on recorded play, comp availability, and guest profitability within established departmental guidelines.
  • Evaluates complimentary reports on an ongoing basis.
  • Rewards, recognizes, and develops and enhances relationships with Lucky Star Rewards Gold+ Players.
  • Addresses problems or concerns of the casino's VIP guests.
  • Assists the Player Services Manager in coordinating, promoting, and participating in special events, both on and off property.
  • Works a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate VIPs.
  • Supervises team members of the department, including interviewing, scheduling, evaluating, and training.
  • Consistently meets or exceeds goals set by supervisor/manager.
  • Understands and adheres to all regulatory, Tribal, Casino, and department rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
