About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a visionary and entrepreneurial Executive Director to lead our Rock Creek Senior Living community in Ankeny, Iowa. This full-time position involves managing all aspects of the community, from business planning and sales to ensuring resident satisfaction and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, a "Management Mechanic," a "Resident Receptor," and an "Entrepreneurial Steward," running the community like their own mini-business while upholding Arrow's core values and promoting a positive, home-like environment for both residents and team members.

Requirements

  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information in systems.
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, for brief periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds.
  • Comfortable sitting at a desk between six and eight hours a day.
  • Criminally cleared.
  • Clean driving record as per the insurance carrier’s policy.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
  • Knowledge of and ability to conform to the applicable laws, rules and regulations.
  • Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English with residents.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) year degree in human services, psychology, sociology, nursing, health care administration, public administration, or a related field and at least two (2) years of experience in the field.
  • Four (4) year degree in a related field and a minimum of one (1) year experience in the field.
  • Master’s degree in a related field and a minimum of one (1) year experience in the field.
  • Active and in good standing LNHA (Licensed Nursing Home Administrator) or RCAL (Residential Care and Assisted Living Administrator) for the state of Iowa (IA).

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with the team about the community's vision, goals, business plans, and sales plans.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the community, managing residents and employees effectively.
  • Anticipate and manage resident satisfaction needs.
  • Run the community like a mini-business, demonstrating entrepreneurial stewardship.
  • Provide leadership for measurable growth and satisfaction.
  • Maintain or supervise the maintenance of financial and other records.
  • Direct the work of others.
