About The Position

We are looking for an Executive Director to join our team at Buckingham Senior Living. This role requires a visionary leader who can communicate the community's goals and business plans, a "Management Mechanic" to ensure the smooth operation of the community from residents to employees, a "Resident Receptor" to manage resident satisfaction, and an "Entrepreneurial Steward" to run the community like a mini-business.

Requirements

  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) year degree in human services, psychology, sociology, nursing, health care administration, public administration, or a related field and have at least two (2) years of experience in the field; OR
  • Four (4) year degree in a related field (listed above) and have a minimum of one (1) year experience in the field; OR
  • Master’s degree in a related field (listed above) and have a minimum of one (1) year experience in the field.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
  • Knowledge of and ability to conform to the applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain or supervise the maintenance of financial and other records.
  • Ability to direct the work of others and provide the necessary leadership for measurable growth and satisfaction in performing the work.
  • Good character and a reputation of personal integrity.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information in systems.
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, for brief periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds.
  • Comfortable sitting at a desk between six and eight hours a day.
  • Criminally cleared.
  • Clean driving record as per the insurance carrier’s policy.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with the team where the community is going and what are its goals, including business plans and sales plans.
  • Keep the machine of the community, from residents to employees, running.
  • Anticipate and manage resident satisfaction needs.
  • Run your community like your own mini-business.
  • Maintain or supervise the maintenance of financial and other records.
  • Direct the work of others and provide the necessary leadership for measurable growth and satisfaction in performing the work.
