Executive Director, O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law - Georgetown University The Executive Director collaborates with, and reports to, the Faculty Director to set the vision, objectives, and goals for the O’Neill Institute, as well as to effectively execute that vision. This includes strategic planning, supervising staff, fundraising, planning events, programs, and conferences, advancing sponsored research, developing publications, and coordinating programs for students. It requires rigorous stewardship of the Institute’s programs, activities, and finances. In addition, the Executive Director supervises 7 Center Directors, and oversees administration, finance, communications, and other core responsibilities. S/he also engages in independent scholarly activities, including research and writing, lecturing, and occasional teaching, as appropriate. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: Institution-Building Fundraising Convening Curricular Administration Communications Recruitment Management and Budgeting Work Interactions Working closely with the Institute’s Faculty Director, the Executive Director will work to establish the Institute (or maintain the Institute’s reputation) as the leading local, national, and global voice in and convener of discussions and debates about health policy; spearhead the Institute’s fundraising and communications efforts; and supervise many of the day-to-day functions of Institute staff, fellows, and students. The incumbent will develop and lead programming, as well as research activities and collect information about Institute activities and the activities of affiliated entities.
