About The Position

The Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) is seeking a full-time Executive Director to oversee and guide development and mission operations throughout the state of Texas. This is a remote position based in the Dallas, Houston, or Austin metro areas, with some limited travel required. The Executive Director will foster and manage relationships, drive growth, improve services for the brain injury community, establish strategic relationships, develop business plans to increase revenue, recruit and engage volunteers, and lead state-level advocacy efforts. This role involves meeting annual revenue goals, promoting BIAA programs, participating in fundraising activities, and collaborating with colleagues, volunteers, and senior management. The position offers a salary of $120,000/year.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with nonprofit relationship management, programs, or community development
  • 2+ years of demonstrated success in fundraising
  • 5+ years of experience developing and delivering presentations to small and large groups
  • Ability to develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies, particularly in promoting intangible programs and services
  • Ability to consult and interact with corporate leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills
  • Must have the ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide development and mission operations throughout the state of Texas.
  • Foster and manage relationships throughout Texas to drive growth and improve services for the brain injury community.
  • Establish strategic relationships and develop an effective business plan that enhances how we help others while increasing revenue.
  • Create a shared vision, recruit and engage volunteers to drive initiatives forward and promote community growth.
  • Lead advocacy efforts at the state level, working with stakeholders to increase awareness and inspire positive change.
  • Meet all annual revenue goals.
  • Promote BIAA's various programs, products, and services to the Academy of Brain Injury Specialists.
  • Attend webinars, participate in conferences, and negotiate partnership deals to meet corporate fundraising targets.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, volunteers, and senior management to identify new business opportunities and meet nonprofit objectives.
