In this vital role for Amgen, the Executive Director, Tezspire Brand Lead will help shape the future growth trajectory of one of the company’s most strategically important franchises. In partnership with AstraZeneca, Amgen is committed to maximizing the impact of Tezspire, the first and only biologic approved for severe asthma with no phenotype or biomarker limitation. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead within a highly visible, co-promoted respiratory franchise while shaping the future of care for patients with severe asthma and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) and additional indications. The Executive Director will lead the Tezspire brand through this next era of growth — accelerating category leadership, expanding appropriate patient adoption into new disease areas, strengthening HCP confidence in Tezspire’s differentiated profile, and advancing the brand’s position. The Executive Director will work closely with Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Value & Access, Digital, Data & Analytics, Sales, and R&D leadership to deliver against ambitious growth objectives and unlock the next wave of franchise expansion, all within the dynamic of a Pinnacle Partnership with AstraZeneca partners.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree & 6 years of Marketing experience OR Master’s degree & 10 years of Marketing experience OR Bachelor’s degree & 12 years of Marketing experience
  • 6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum eight years of experience in a series of commercial roles of increasing scope, scale, and complexity, with leading companies in the bio-pharmaceutical or health and wellness industry
  • Experience developing and implementing innovative commercial strategies within highly competitive specialty biologic markets where innovation and customer engagement are key drivers of success
  • Understanding of U.S. market access, specialty pharmacy, pricing, and reimbursement environment
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment especially within a partnership environment; managing projects involving multiple functions and shared accountabilities
  • Respiratory, immunology, inflammation, biologics, or specialty therapeutics experience preferred
  • Experience within severe asthma or specialty respiratory markets strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Within the Pinnacle Partnership dynamic and framework, lead the development and execution of bold, future-oriented strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth, market leadership, and long-term franchise profitability
  • Shape the future vision for Tezspire within an evolving severe asthma and inflammatory respiratory ecosystem, including earlier biologic intervention, evolving treatment guidelines, precision medicine advances, and expanding specialty care pathways, also in preparation for patient indication expansions
  • Drive growth across strategically important patient populations by accelerating identification of uncontrolled severe asthma patients, increasing biologic adoption, and expanding awareness of Tezspire’s broad patient applicability and differentiated upstream mechanism
  • Develop and execute integrated brand strategies spanning positioning, messaging, omnichannel engagement, forecasting, lifecycle planning, market access, and healthcare economics initiatives
  • Lead development of breakthrough multichannel marketing campaigns and next-generation customer engagement strategies that leverage AI, advanced analytics, personalization, and emerging digital technologies to improve HCP engagement, patient activation, and commercial effectiveness at scale
  • Collaborate with U.S. and global leadership teams to inform franchise strategy, lifecycle opportunities, and long-term growth priorities across respiratory and inflammation therapeutic areas
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing organization that fosters accountability, innovation, collaboration, talent development, and strategic thinking
