The Executive Director of Product Management is a strategic and detail-oriented leader who has proven experience delivering outcomes at scale with excellence and measurable results. You will ensure best-in-class products for New Yorkers by cultivating high-performing product managers, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and leading teams.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to projects and policies required by the particular position; or Education and/or experience which is equivalent to the above.

Responsibilities

  • Build strategic relationships with senior leaders across agencies and disciplines to deliver SPEED objectives to shorten the new construction permitting.
  • Engage non-technical stakeholders on complex topics in plain language informed by strong technical fluency.
  • Lead, manage, and coach a team of product managers to deliver outcomes to New Yorkers.
  • Model and promote evidence-based problem solving to identify and define new digital product opportunities.
  • Identify new trends, technology and strategic relationships to build scalable products for New Yorkers.
  • Set up teams for success and help to navigate organizational roadblocks.
  • Present to a large variety of audiences in plain language, clarifying complex problems simply and with clear priorities.
  • Demonstrate high design standards and inclusion to build a diverse, high-performing team.
  • Inspire City partners and colleagues to anchor their work in human-centered design, user research methodologies and evidence-based solutioning.
  • Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.
