Responsible for providing leadership and direction to ensure compliance to established policies, procedures, and/or practices. Serve as a key member of the Superintendent’s executive leadership team, acting as a strategic leader and spokesperson on behalf of the Superintendent and Henry County Schools. Positively and proactively participate in leadership meetings, representing the Superintendent and district priorities. Provide supervision and support for assigned department staff. Assist with the on-going review and update of Board policy, regulations, and exhibits. Ensure strong, on-going communication with principals and district leaders. Serve as the liaison to the school district’s legal counsel. Promote a performance culture by troubleshooting and investigating complaints. Supervise the direction of various processes and procedures to ensure quality service is provided to school district employees, agencies, and community members, including record requests, student complaints and grievances, Civil Rights Data Collection Policy, Student Handbooks, Title IX, and coordination of community awareness. Respond and elevate all stakeholders’ concerns where appropriate. Supervise and monitor EEOC, OCR, DOJ, and DOL complaints. Assist with staff development opportunities. Maintain documentation and complete records required by state and federal laws and regulations. Keep abreast of federal and state laws and policies and ensure compliance. Attend meetings and trainings as required. Perform other duties as required.
