About The Position

This is a leadership role for a Catholic-based hospice care program in the Milwaukee Area, Wisconsin. The Executive Director will lead a passionate interdisciplinary team, set standards for excellence, drive quality improvement, manage financial performance, and build relationships with referral sources and community partners. The role requires a visionary leader to take the growing hospice program to the next level, fostering a culture of compassion, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
A current Wisconsin RN license
5+ years of hospice or home health experience with strong regulatory knowledge
3+ years of leadership experience in hospice or a related healthcare setting
Deep expertise in CoPs, accreditation standards, surveys, and audits
Experience leading clinical operations, quality initiatives, documentation, and IDT performance
Experience managing budgets and driving strong operational and financial results
Experience building trusted relationships with referral sources and community partners
Ability to communicate clearly, solve problems calmly, and lead with integrity
Belief that compassion and accountability belong together
Drawn to work rooted in a Catholic, faith-based mission of care.

Responsibilities

Lead the hospice program and guide the interdisciplinary team of nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and physicians.
Set the standard for excellence, drive quality improvement, survey readiness, and ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations and CoPs.
Develop budgets, manage financial performance, and make strategic decisions to strengthen the program.
Build meaningful relationships with referral sources, providers, and community partners.
Foster a culture of compassion, accountability, and continuous improvement.
