About The Position

This is a leadership role for a growing hospice program within a Catholic non-profit organization. The Executive Director will be responsible for leading the hospice team, driving quality improvement, managing financial performance, building community relationships, and fostering a positive culture. The role requires a visionary leader who can shape and grow the program, ensuring it aligns with the organization's mission of providing dignified, comfortable, and loving care to those at the end of life.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
Current Wisconsin RN license
5+ years of hospice or home health experience with strong regulatory knowledge
3+ years of leadership experience in hospice or a related healthcare setting
Deep expertise in CoPs, accreditation standards, surveys, and audits
Experience leading clinical operations, quality initiatives, documentation, and IDT performance
Experience managing budgets and driving operational and financial results
Experience building trusted relationships with referral sources and community partners
Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Commitment to a Catholic, faith-based mission of care

Responsibilities

Lead the hospice program and guide the interdisciplinary team (nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, physicians).
Drive quality improvement, survey readiness, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and Conditions of Participation (CoPs).
Develop budgets, manage financial performance, and make strategic decisions to strengthen the program.
Build relationships with referral sources, providers, and community partners.
Foster a culture of compassion, accountability, and continuous improvement.
