About The Position

The Executive Director of Campus Operations serves as the primary coordinator for administrative and operational functions at Cal Poly Solano by ensuring strong alignment with Cal Poly systems, resources, and leadership. Under the direction of the Senior Vice President for Administration & Finance (SVP), reporting to the AVP of Divisional Operations, and coordination with the VP/CEO of the Cal Poly Solano campus, this position supports coordinated service delivery and process integration across all Administration & Finance units. The incumbent fosters collaboration between divisional leaders at both campuses, ensuring that campus operations meet shared goals and CSU standards. This position is located in Vallejo, California, at the Cal Poly Maritime Academy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in operations, administration, or project management.
  • Demonstrated experience working with executive-level leadership including managing complex, multi-unit administrative and operational environments.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders to translate campus needs into coordinated strategic action.
  • Strong financial, capital planning, and risk management acumen, including oversight of budgets and infrastructure investments.
  • Expertise in investigating and analyzing problems with a broad administrative impact and implications.
  • Ability to analyze problems and address them proactively.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience requiring a very high level of diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment.
  • The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
