About The Position

The Executive Director, Enterprise Program Initiatives (ED-EPI) leads and oversees WorkSource Inc., including daily operations, community representation, and supervision of the local management team. The role partners with corporate departments to advance WorkSource’s strategic, financial, and operational objectives while ensuring full compliance with contractual and accreditation requirements. The ED-EPI also helps align ServiceSource and affiliates enterprise strategy by leading sustainable program development initiatives, rehabilitation service diversification, and partnering with the Chief Program Officer (CPO) to achieve five-year strategic plan growth priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related human service/rehabilitation field required (e.g., health administration, public health, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, disability, therapy).
  • Proven track record of securing and implementing sustainable rehabilitation services.
  • Minimum ten (10) years’ senior management experience required in a disability and/or human service field, from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel required. Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR).
  • Must be able to work well with people internally and externally at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and oral/verbal communication skills.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget oversight and analysis.
  • Strong public speaking ability.
  • Solid organizational skills including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation.
  • High level strategic thinking and planning. Ability to envision and convey the organization’s mission and strategic future to the staff, board and donors.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a related human service/rehabilitation field from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Active fundraising experience and previous experience establishing relationships with individuals and organizations of influence preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide executive oversight for all rehabilitation, administration, financial, compliance, and operational functions for WorkSource (WS), ensuring programs contribute positively to the organization as a best-in-class rehabilitation provider, achieve outcome targets, and maintain a sustainable and growing business.
  • Engage with disability provider associations and act as a community liaison to cultivate donor relationships, advocacy efforts, funders, strategic partners, and potential affiliates to strengthen the organization’s reputation, market presence, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Identify and support the development of program/business models that can be replicated across affiliates and new markets. Lead or co-lead affiliate program development initiatives, including new service lines, pilots, and market expansion with a focus on Home and Community Based Services (behavioral health and healthcare initiatives).
  • Partner with the Chief Program Officer and Program Development team to strengthen infrastructure and affiliation/acquisition processes that support program diversification and growth aligned with SSI’s five-year strategic impact goals for employment, independence, and community participation.
  • Partner with WorkSource rehabilitation and financial staff to prepare, recommend, and manage annual operating budgets and implement key program performance metrics to ensure programs are sustainable.
  • Lead the WorkSource rehabilitation team to ensure effective implementation and fulfillment of AbilityOne program participant support functions and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee the affiliate WorkSource’s CARF accreditation process, collaborating with rehabilitation teams to secure three-year accreditation status.
  • Coordinate all personnel activities with Corporate Human Resources to ensure that affiliate operations adhere to established corporate personnel policies.
  • Support PD staff in preparing and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Coordinate pricing, budgeting, and contract-related activities with the Finance Department and Chief Program Officer.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory safety requirements, as well as program participant laws and regulations.
  • Develop, propose, and implement annual organizational goals during the strategic planning process.
  • Coordinate the Enterprise Risk Management program alongside the Risk and Compliance Department; prepare quarterly reports and participate in quarterly compliance meetings.
  • Oversee the local technology interface with corporate offices, recommending and supporting technology enhancements to improve operational and service efficiency.
  • Prepare and summarize monthly operations reports for WS and SSI Enterprise Initiatives to the Chief Program Officer (CPO).
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
