About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 1 for Lausanne Collegiate School, an Independent, Coeducational College-Placement School located in Memphis, TN. The Executive Chef 1 is responsible for overseeing daily food production, ordering, inventory management, and catering operations. This role requires a passion for culinary excellence and strong organizational skills to ensure outstanding service and satisfaction in a thriving K-12 school environment. Requirements

Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
2 years of management experience.
1 year of work experience in food or culinary services (restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.).
Strong culinary background with demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards.
Strong coaching and employee development skills.
Passion for food and innovation.

Responsibilities

Overseeing daily food production, ordering, inventory management, and catering operations.
Responsible for culinary training of staff members and execution of catered events.
Ensuring Sodexo Culinary standards, including recipe compliance and food quality, are implemented.
Developing and motivating team members to embrace culinary innovations.
Ensuring food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standard compliance.
Utilizing automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems.
