About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for Arkansas Tech University, located in Russellville, AR. The Executive Chef will oversee all culinary operations on campus to include resident dining and catering. Arkansas Tech University is a public institution located in Russellville, Arkansas, within the Arkansas River Valley and near the Ozark Mountains. The campus serves a diverse student population and is known for its strong community connections, welcoming culture, and regional pride. Sodexo’s dining program at Arkansas Tech University is an integral part of campus life, supporting residential dining, retail locations, and campus events. Requirements

  • A strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards
  • Strong coaching and employee development skills
  • Have a passion for food and innovation
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years minimum management experience
  • 2 years minimum functional experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
  • Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
  • Have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
  • Have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
