About The Position

The Inn at Crestwood is looking for a full-time, Executive Chef to provide exceptional food services to guests. The schedule for this role will be Wednesday through Sunday. A typical day for the Executive Chef includes preparing food in accordance with restraint standards while providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of culinary leadership required
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience required
  • Understanding of various cooking methods
  • Knowledge of food safety
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule: weekends, and holidays
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Cooking experience
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Hotel experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and implement the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
  • Set up equipment and prepare food based on the business forecast and catering contracts.
  • Prepare salads, sandwiches, cold and hot food entrees and other prepared foods according to portion and quality standards specified in recipes.
  • Possess complete knowledge of menu and recipes, including preparation procedures, plating, garnishment, portions size and presentation and special handling instructions.
  • Lead, train, schedule, and supervise culinary staff to ensure consistent food quality and high performance.
  • Ensure attractive presentation of all food and beverage products.
  • Assist in ordering, receiving, and storing of all food and beverage related products.
  • Assist the Food & Beverage Manager and banquet staff with catering events.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen team.
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
  • Stock inventory appropriately.
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
