About The Position

Requirements

  • Five (5) plus years of proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role in a structured culinary environment.
  • Passion for culinary innovation and a commitment to excellence.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Exceptional culinary skills with a focus on nutrition and presentation.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to work hands-on with a small staff.
  • ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • High School Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a transformative culinary vision that revitalizes dining services, aligning with commitment to excellence, innovation and the REAL Food mission.
  • Innovate and curate diverse, seasonal, and nutritious menus that cater to the tastes and dietary needs of residents and set new benchmarks in senior living dining.
  • Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service are consistently met.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a passionate culinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Cultivate a culture of feedback and collaboration with residents and community leadership to continuously improve and elevate their dining experience.
  • Oversee kitchen operations with a keen eye for efficiency and innovation. Manage budgets effectively while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Elevate culinary reputation through community events, cooking demonstrations, and partnerships with local farms and vendors.
  • Host occasional small catering events as part of the role.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
