About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef to lead all food production operations at East Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas. This hands-on culinary leader will oversee high-volume food production across residential dining, retail venues, and catering services, ensuring exceptional food quality and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • A strong culinary background with experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, or culinary leader
  • Experience managing food production in a high-volume environment
  • Knowledge of food cost controls, inventory management, and production planning
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • A passion for quality food and continuous improvement
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years minimum management experience
  • 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee daily food production for multiple dining venues and catering events
  • Lead production planning, recipe compliance, and batch cooking processes
  • Manage food cost controls, purchasing, inventory, and waste reduction initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and Sodexo standards
  • Collaborate with operations leaders to enhance the overall dining experience
