About The Position

The Executive Casino Host acts as a resource to guests and employees, spending the majority of their time on the gaming floor. This role involves assisting with special events, advising guests, and maintaining a working knowledge of the Fond-du-Luth facility and its promotions. The position is responsible for promoting the success of the Player's Club by explaining benefits, supporting enrollment goals, issuing cards, and demonstrating their use. The host will observe, track, and review play within the player tracking system, work closely with gaming departments to assist with player needs, and observe special events in guests' lives by preparing and mailing cards, newsletters, and personal notes. This role also involves recording information on new guests, upgrading computer files daily, compiling guest feedback for management, and being on call with a fluctuating schedule to meet departmental, casino, and guest needs. The Executive Casino Host is responsible for the development of new players through enrollments, tracking, and follow-up, as well as maintaining and increasing the activity of an assigned players list. Knowledge of computer applications including word processing, databases, data entry, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook is required. Appropriate work attire, attendance at all mandatory department training, and required Title 31 and/or SAR training are also necessary. The ability to obtain a gaming identification badge is required. This role ensures the confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees, band members, and/or clients. A responsive and professional manner is expected in promptly addressing requests, complaints, and problems. Employees are representatives of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and must demonstrate courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of others. The role represents the Fond du Lac Band and the department positively in the community. Proper attendance and a clean, organized work area are required. Employees must be flexible and assume other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • No Driver’s License required.
  • High school Diploma or a GED.
  • Must be a self-starter, motivated, versatile and responsible
  • Ability to perform with a high degree of integrity when responding to the most sensitive inquiries and complaints
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
  • Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
  • Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
  • Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.
  • Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience in gaming (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Compiles guest feedback, informing management of findings on a weekly basis.
  • Will be on call and be able to work a fluctuating schedule to meet Department, Casino and guest needs.

  • Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
