About The Position

Lynker is seeking a taleted Executive Assistant who will be responsible for supporting the National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) Director and his Senior Leadership Board (SLB). NDBC located at Stennis Space Center, MS designs, engineers, fabricates/integrates, tests, deploys, maintains/repairs 4 worldwide buoy systems including Weather Buoy Stations, Coastal Observation (C-MAN) stations, Tropical Atmosphere-Ocean Array (TAO) systems, and Deep-Ocean Assessment and Reporting of Tsunami (DART) stations. The program also performs data analysis/storage/dissemination (via website/other means) of related weather and environmental data from these systems and other sources of in-situ weather data, Logistics, Information Technology/Data Administration, and Programming.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in an executive environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work independently
  • Experience with the Google Suite (Google Mail/Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.)
  • This is an in-person position at the NDBC facility located on Stennis Space Center, MS.
  • Nominal hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (includes 30 minutes for lunch) Monday through Friday excluding 11 observed Federal Holidays annually and approved Personal Time Off (PTO) days.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a NOAA/NASA (Stennis Space Center) background investigation for NOAA system/NASA Stennis Site access.
  • This position supports a long term Federal Government contract, and REQUIRES either U.S. Citizenship OR a Greencard in order to be eligible.

Responsibilities

  • NDBC Director & Senior Leadership Board (SLB) Support
  • Primary assistant to the Federal NDBC Senior Executive Service (SES) Director including calendar management and administrative, meeting, and conference call support.
  • Provide administrative, scheduling, meeting, and conference call coordination and support to the NDBC Federal SLB which is composed of the NDBC Director, NDBC Deputy Director, and three NDBC Branch Chiefs.
  • Manage and oversee NDBC Federal correspondence approvals.
  • Manage Travel of all Federal Staff (average 2-3 trips per month)
  • Manage the processing of official passports for Federal Staff
  • Manage the NDBC office supply inventory
  • Manage NDBC front office communication, phone calls, and notifications
  • Coordinate NDBC VIP visitor requests, tours, and associated agendas/logistics
