About The Position

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) seeks an Executive Assistant to provide strategic executive and operational support to the Information Technology Division (IT). This position serves as a trusted partner to the Vice President, Information Technology and coordinates administrative, operational, and communications activities across the division. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities, exercise discretion, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position works closely with IT leadership, VEDP staff, vendors, and external partners to ensure the smooth operation of division activities and initiatives.

  • 3-5 years’ experience providing executive-level administrative support
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Being authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment.
  • A valid Virginia driver’s license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing procurement, purchasing, invoices, contracts, or vendor relationships preferred
  • Experience with meeting management, project tracking, or workflow tools preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive support to the Vice President, Information Technology
  • Lead IT procurement, purchasing, contract administration, and vendor activities
  • Process invoices, vendor payments, reimbursements, and purchasing documentation
  • Manage executive calendars, communications, and team travel arrangements
  • Coordinate division operations, activities, and strategic initiatives
  • Prepare executive correspondence, presentations, reports, and briefing materials
  • Track decisions, action items, project milestones, and operational deliverables
  • Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and employee engagement efforts
  • Maintain policies, procedures, records, and operational documentation
  • Serve as a liaison between IT leadership, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Recommend and implement improvements to administrative and business processes
