About The Position

Paramount Pictures is seeking an Executive Assistant for the Strategy and Insights team. This role supports a dynamic group that works across the entire lifecycle of the theatrical movie experience, from concept to release. The team ensures the consumer's voice is central to every decision, utilizing audience surveys, focus groups, ethnographies, and screenings to drive impactful, data-driven decisions. The Insights team's global research informs production and tailors marketing campaigns worldwide. This position is based on the Paramount Pictures Studio Lot and requires five days in the office. The role is central to the department, supporting senior leadership and collaborating with the wider team, offering a unique view of the movie lifecycle and how research shapes films and their marketing. It's an opportunity for someone looking to step into the insights space for the first time, with a love for movies and curiosity about audience responses.

Requirements

  • BA or BS with a track record of high achievement.
  • 1+ years of related experience.
  • Good language and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid comfort with numbers and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with staff, other administrators, internal and external partners, and senior management.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong multi-tasker with a proven ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.
  • Familiarity with a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of movies and passion for entertainment.
  • Collaborative.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the overall department calendar and that of the Executive Vice President and Senior Vice President, scheduling key meetings across the studio.
  • Compile and maintain files with relevant materials for meetings, reading the calendar ahead to anticipate what will be needed.
  • Arrange travel plans and submit expenses for the EVP and SVP, and compile documents for travel-related meetings.
  • Answer and screen phone calls and email, taking action when appropriate and following up as needed.
  • Maintain high levels of discretion when dealing with confidential research documents, reports, meetings, and expenses.
  • Contribute to entry-level research work, including reading scripts and contributing to early pre-greenlight analysis.
  • Analyze long-lead tracking reads and distributing results within the studio.
  • Analyze and distribute box office projections.
  • Contribute to the development of deliverables and presentations for departments across the studio.
  • Conduct landscape research to understand trends within the broader moviegoing industry.
  • Be a vocal and active contributor to brainstorming sessions and meetings.
  • Be excited by movies and in tune with current releases.
