About The Position

Spry Methods is seeking a highly organized, proactive Executive Assistant / Scheduler to support the Director, Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4), Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) at the Pentagon. This role operates at the center of Marine Corps enterprise decision-making, directly enabling a senior executive leader by managing time, priorities, and operational rhythm. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-tempo, high-visibility environment and brings experience supporting DoD SES or Flag/General Officers.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • 3–7+ years of experience supporting senior leadership in a DoD or Federal environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting SES, Flag, or General Officers
  • Advanced experience with: Executive calendar management and scheduling
  • Advanced experience with: Defense Travel System (DTS)
  • Advanced experience with: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams)
  • Strong understanding of DoD administrative, correspondence, and security processes
  • Comfortable going into the office 5 days a week

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in the Pentagon or HQMC
  • Familiarity with task management systems (TMT, CATMS, or similar)
  • Experience preparing executive-level briefing materials and read-aheads
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted front-office partner responsible for ensuring the Director’s time, engagements, and office operations are executed with precision.
  • Manage and deconflict a complex, high-visibility calendar, coordinating engagements across HQMC, DoD, Joint Staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Develop daily/weekly schedule products (day cards, read-aheads, forecast schedules).
  • Prioritize competing requirements and ensure leadership is fully prepared for each engagement.
  • Coordinate and execute meetings, briefings, and events, including: Agenda development and logistics, Read-ahead materials and briefing books, Secure spaces, AV, and visitor access, Track actions, taskers, and follow-ups to completion.
  • Prepare and quality-check executive correspondence, memos, and briefing materials.
  • Plan and manage CONUS and OCONUS travel using the Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Build detailed itineraries and trip books.
  • Coordinate last-minute changes and ensure compliance with travel regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage office workflow, communications, and tasking systems (e.g., TMT/CATMS).
  • Coordinate visit requests, clearances, and escort requirements.
  • Maintain organized records, files, and executive documentation.
  • Support day-to-day office operations including: Supply management and workspace coordination, Security and access procedures, Coordination across HQMC staff sections.
  • Enable smooth execution of the Director’s operational priorities.
