About The Position

Kainaiwa Children’s Services Corporation is a growing, dynamic First Nations organization providing programs and services to Blood Tribe children and families in need of support and protection so that they can become positive, healthy contributing members of our community; While maintaining KCSC’s Vision, Mission Statements and incorporating Blood Tribe Traditions through “Kainayssini” the Declaration of the Elders of the Blood Indian Nation. Reporting to the Corporate Services Manager, the Executive Administrative Assistant provides high-level administrative and operational support to ensure the efficient functioning of Corporate Services. This role supports coordination, communications, and financial tracking while maintaining confidentiality and contributing to culturally respectful and effective service delivery.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of progressive administrative experience, preferably in a corporate services or HR environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with First Nations communities is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Blackfoot language and cultural protocols is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and correspondence.
  • Prepare reports, briefing notes, presentations, and meeting materials.
  • Coordinate meetings, including agendas, minutes, and tracking action items.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records and filing systems.
  • Draft and distribute internal communications and support organizational messaging.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external partners to support coordination and communication.
  • Track expenditures, invoices, and financial information, and prepare summaries for review.
  • Support basic budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking activities.
  • Assist with procurement processes and contract documentation.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide professional support to staff and stakeholders.
  • Support organizational initiatives, committees, and projects as assigned.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and efficiency.
