About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Administrative Assistant to join our team specializing in General Management at our Cummins Inc. facility in Indianapolis, IN. This role is on-site with flexibility, primarily based at the DBU Headquarters in Indianapolis, with the expectation of regular presence in Columbus, IN (COM building) 1–2 days per week. About the Role This is a high-visibility Executive Assistant position supporting a Vice President who leads a profitable and growing global business unit comprised of four product lines and fifteen manufacturing sites worldwide. This role serves as a trusted partner to the Vice President, playing a critical part in optimizing priorities, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting the overall business cadence. The position provides significant exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional global teams. Operating in a fast-paced, highly hands-on environment, key responsibilities include: Strategically managing a complex, multi-time-zone calendar, effectively balancing and aligning competing priorities Coordinating detailed domestic and international travel arrangements, including comprehensive itineraries and expense reporting Planning and executing leadership meetings, events, and offsite sessions to ensure seamless delivery and alignment. Acting as a central point of coordination across global stakeholders, Executive Assistants, and business teams to drive communication and continuity Success in this role requires a high degree of autonomy, strong judgment, and the ability to proactively anticipate needs while adapting to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting senior executives (VP level or above) in a complex, global organization preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage highly dynamic calendars with competing priorities and stakeholders.
  • Strong experience coordinating complex domestic travel; international travel experience preferred.
  • Event planning and execution experience (small and large scale).
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and anticipate needs with minimal direction.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative mindset by building strong relationships across teams and senior leadership, fostering alignment, and contributing to a high-performing, cohesive environment.
  • Communicate with clarity and professionalism through strong written skills, including effective use of PowerPoint and Excel to support presentations and basic data analysis.
  • Maintain exceptional organization and attention to detail, effectively managing across multiple business dimensions to ensure accurate, consistent stakeholder communication and engagement.
  • Exhibit leadership presence, resilience, and proactive coordination by managing complex global travel and events, collaborating with Executive Assistants, and navigating fast-paced dynamics with confidence, sound judgment, and confidentiality.
