Carolina Therapeutics Academy is hiring exceptional children's preschool teachers to provide educational instruction and behavior monitoring for children with special needs, approximately ages 2–6. Teachers work as part of a team of educators and clinical therapists under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The half-day program is held at Illumine Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It provides an age-appropriate educational curriculum modeled after the Carolina Curriculum for Preschoolers with Special Needs and the Carolina Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers with Special Needs, along with clinical services from ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapists. Teachers trained as Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) may also provide ABA therapy during clinical hours if desired. Applicants must have an educational and/or employment background in early childhood education and/or special education and be willing to commit at least 20 hours per week to care and educational instruction during program hours. Teachers must complete RBT training and obtain certification through Carolina Therapeutics, PLLC, before providing educational services. The company provides and compensates applicants for this training. A background check is required. Applicants must be comfortable and experienced working with children with special needs, including children on the autism spectrum.
