About The Position

The Excavator Operator operates equipment safely and competently while following company and federal safety procedures. The role uses an excavator with a hydraulic or mechanical processor to reduce concrete rubble to material suitable for the crusher and remove long or loose rebar and other unsuitable debris. The operator communicates regularly with the field supervisor, works as part of a team, performs equipment inspections and maintenance, and keeps the work site organized. This is a stationary position with limited travel, although travel is required.

Requirements

Some experience is required.
Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance Monday through Saturday.
Positive, team-based attitude.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Excellent communication skills.
Travel is required.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment competently and cautiously, adhering to company and federal safety procedures and requirements.
Safely and efficiently operate an excavator with a hydraulic or mechanical processor to reduce concrete rubble for the crusher and remove long or loose rebar and other unsuitable debris.
Communicate regularly and continuously with the field supervisor about assigned work and specific instructions.
Work in a successful and positive team environment.
Use hand tools such as wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, and sledgehammers to complete daily tasks and maintain or repair equipment.
Perform scheduled maintenance on plant or mobile equipment as required.
Inspect equipment daily before operation and notify the supervisor of deficiencies or needed repairs before use.
Maintain work-site housekeeping, including picking up trash, organizing tools, and properly storing equipment at the end of the workday.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
