Excavator Operator Helper
About The Position
AP Plumbing is seeking an Excavator Operator Helper for their Syracuse, NY, location. The equipment operator helper safely and efficiently assists the excavator operator with equipment as needed on our job sites. For over 30 years, AP Plumbing has worked diligently to meet the plumbing needs of homeowners and businesses in the Rochester and Syracuse communities. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license / clean driving record required
- Excellent written, verbal, and active listening skills
- Strong administrative skills
- Technical knowledge
- Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with sewer and water repair preferred
- Experience operating an excavator preferred
Responsibilities
- Safely assist Lead Operator on job sites
- Utilize hand tools and other equipment to dig and probe for utilities
- Follow all OSHA and AP safety policies and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and ensure proper storage
- Assist with other areas of excavation and service as needed
