About The Position

This job cleans and services guest, patient, public, clinical, and administrative areas while maintaining a clean and aseptic environment. The role also supports room turnover, special cleaning projects, and cafe and bar restocking where necessary. It requires following applicable Environment of Care and cleaning regulations, maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies, and completing tasks with direction and minimal supervision. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak or understand verbal communication in English to follow instructions and perform daily tasks.
• Experience operating environmental services equipment, including dust mop, wet mop, bucket and wringer, spray bottles, and dustpan.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning, and cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed.
• Ability to listen, take direction, and complete job tasks with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas in a clean and aseptic manner.
• Maintain the Environmental Services closet and equipment in a clean, aseptic, and orderly manner.
• Assist with restocking the cafe and bar where necessary.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and room turnover.
• Follow current Joint Commission and CMS regulations pertaining to Environment of Care and cleaning requirements.
• Remain knowledgeable about applicable laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements, and ensure compliance.
• Report known or suspected unethical or questionable conduct, patient or employee safety concerns, patient privacy concerns, and other compliance-related concerns.
• Perform other related duties as required.
