To maintain a clean, attractive, and safe hospital environment for patients, staff, and visitors through a systematic application of cleaning procedures. This role involves maintaining established orderliness, cleaning, and safety standards, complying with proper patient room cleaning policies, and properly disposing of various types of waste including trash, biohazard/medical waste, and HIPAA information. The EVS Worker also practices infection control standards, performs various cleaning and maintenance tasks such as scrubbing carpets, dusting, mopping, and cleaning fixtures, and observes and reports items in need of repair. Documentation of performed tasks is required, along with demonstrating behavior that supports the hospital's mission and attending required training. The position also requires demonstrating respect and positive interpersonal skills with patients, clients, the public, managers, and co-workers, functioning as a team player, and performing any additional duties as assigned.
