About The Position

The EVS Tech helps maintain hospital areas in a neat, orderly, sanitary, and safe condition. The role performs environmental services duties to keep facilities in good condition, including cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas such as lounges, restrooms, exam rooms, and offices; restocking disposable supplies; and operating cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor care machines, and steam sterilizers. The employee follows safety, medical center, and departmental policies and procedures, ensures equipment is in operating order before use, and completes assignments in a timely manner. Reliable weekend and holiday availability, attention to detail, cleanliness, and the ability to work independently are important to success in the role.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of housekeeping experience; healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to work reliably on weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or GED.
• Housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete assignments in a timely manner and in accordance with Department Policies and Procedures.
• Understand and adhere to all Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Maintain assigned duties in a clean, sanitary, and secure manner.
• Ensure assigned areas, including lounges, restrooms, exam rooms, and offices, have adequate disposable supplies.
• Adhere to all Medical Center and Departmental Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure equipment is in operating order before use.
• Use vacuum cleaners in accordance with the manufacturer's operating instructions.
• Clean and sanitize assigned areas and operate cleaning equipment, including floor care machines and steam sterilizers.
