Requirements

• High school or equivalent
• 3-5 years or equivalent work experience in a leadership role.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and Supervises staff to ensure all operational and safety procedures are properly followed.
• Establishes work schedule, plans and delegates daily work assignments to staff. Rounds daily to their responsible designated areas talking with staff ensuring cleanliness of the area.
• Coordinates departmental activities with other hospital departments and maintains a working relationship with the appropriate personnel. Follows up and manages housekeeping problems.
• Trains, reviews and documents staffs competencies on a quarterly basis to ensure operational and safety procedures are followed.
• Participates in meetings, hospital committees, and/ or special projects.
• Follows all safety procedures as pertains to all federal and local safety standards and according to hospital and department procedures.
• Contributes to the productive management and efficient operation of the department. Orders and maintains control of materials, supplies and equipment, so that the department operates in a cost-effective manner. Back fill as needed during PTO or when census is high to ensure cleanliness of hospital.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.
